tips to get fresh flowers last longer

I've always loved fresh flowers and I do want some lovely blooms for my wedding as well as for the reception. The thing is, how do you get these flowers to last longer as I don't want to have wilting buds greeting my guests?

If your flowers are in vases, make sure you add some vinegar into the water ( since it helps to neutralize the water). Plus, do remember to cut the stem in a slanting manner so that the water will be easily absorbed.
