Creative Weddings on a Budget!!

Postby chris on Mon Jul 02, 2007 11:21 am

I wanted to be creative for my wedding day and had a little budget !

My colors were Ivory and Chocolate brown. So I decided to make my
centre pieces my favors as well. I got some glass bowls and layered
ivory jelly beans which were banana cream pie flavor and brown jelly
beans which were chocolate pudding yum!! I got 200 clear baggies at a
craft store and put labels on them and a scoop for each table.
They looked amazing and were good to eat!!!

We also couldn't afford a served dinner so we just made sandwiches
and salads etc. Instead of renting plates we bought plastic ones and
put them on the buffet table, and on each place setting we placed a
card that said "Your wishes for Dim and Chris" so each guest
could write a few personal words to us. There was a box at the back
they could be placed in when they were finished writing. People
loved it and they were wonderful for us to read, and will they will
be special life-long keepsakes.

We printed our own programs and made them into booklets. Some of the
pages were "This day in history", "Message from the bride and groom",
etc. Guests loved it because it gave them something a little more
to read while waiting to start and very cheap to make.

:o Hope I helped !
